LOGROÑO (LA RIOJA)
Desde Riojanos por La Radio sacamos al aire el indicativo especial EG1FSM para celebrar la fiesta de la vendimia que se celebra en Logroño (La Rioja) el día 21 de septiembre.
El día 21 de septiembre San Mateo, es el día de la celebración de las fiestas más populares de Logroño. A finales de septiembre los agricultores comienzan a recolectar la uva de sus viñedos y Logroño celebra sus fiestas, denominadas también, desde 1956, las Fiestas de la Vendimia Riojana, en la tierra del vino. La calidad del vino de La Rioja se ha convertido en la seña de identidad de esta región.
Son unas de las mejores fiestas del Norte de España, que comienzan con el pregón del alcalde en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento y el ya popular “chupinazo”, dando lugar a los siete días de celebraciones, animación, alegría y jolgorio, con el pañuelo de fiestas.
Comienzan las fiestas Mateas y el otoño se presenta a recibirlas, pero aún quedan rescoldos del estío, y es raro que el sol no acuda a la fiesta para animar a la ciudad con sus rayos, y aportar al ambiente festivo el disfrute de salir a las calles con prendas livianas.
Los logroñeses acogen a sus visitantes con el orgullo de sentirse anfitriones en su tierra riojana, y saberse partícipes del buen ambiente que se prodiga en la capital, celebrando las fiestas más importantes del año.
El carácter riojano que derrocha simpatía tiene un típico dicho que dice: “En las fiestas Mateas saluda a todo el que veas, y si lo vuelves a ver lo saludas otra vez”.
FESTIVALS OF SAN MATEO

On September 21 San Mateo, is the day of the celebration of the most popular festivals in Logroño. At the end of September the farmers begin to collect the grapes from their vineyards and Logroño celebrates its festivals, also called, since 1956, the Riojan Harvest Festivities, in the land of wine. The quality of La Rioja wine has become the hallmark of this region.
They are one of the best parties in Northern Spain, beginning with the mayor’s proclamation in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the already popular “chupinazo”, giving rise to seven days of celebrations, animation, joy and revelry, with the handkerchief of parties.
The Mateas festivities begin and autumn shows up to receive them, but there are still embers of the summer, and it is rare that the sun does not come to the party to cheer the city with its rays, and bring to the festive atmosphere the enjoyment of going out at streets with light clothing.
The people of Logroño welcome their visitors with the pride of feeling like hosts in their land in La Rioja, and knowing that they are part of the good atmosphere that spreads in the capital, celebrating the most important festivals of the year.
